PROPERTY FINDING IN STUNNING NORTH WALES

“There is no country in Europe more worthy of being explored than Wales.”
“North Wales is, in fact, the Switzerland of the British Isles.”
George Borrow – Wild Wales (1854)

North Wales is a particularly beautiful region known for its breathtaking landscapes, stunning coastlines, rich history, and vibrant culture. Situated off the north coast of Wales is a beautiful island called Anglesey.  Celebrated for its stunning landscapes and rich cultural history. Anglesey life combines serene coastal living with a lively community spirit.  It features many fishing villages as well as charming towns like Beaumaris and Menai Bridge, all offering lovely architecture and local services.

North Wales are famous for their historic castles, such as Caernarfon Castle, Conwy Castle, Harlech Castle, and Beaumaris Castle, all UNESCO World Heritage Sites, which reflect its medieval heritage. With a strong sense of community, outdoor activities, and local festivals, North Wales offers a unique and fulfilling lifestyle for its residents.

Historic towns are in abundance with villages like Conwy, Llandudno, and Llangollen, but Portmeirion Village is particularly special, with its whimsical Italianate village, famous for its unique architecture and appearance in the TV series "The Prisoner".

As you can imagine, with over 250 miles of coastline North Wales offers miles of sandy beaches, water sports are a big thing.  You will find marinas dotted around the coast line, the larger ones being Pwllheli, Deganwy and Conway. Sailing here is great, with many sailing clubs, facilities, and stunning coastal scenery. The region offers a mix of challenging coastal waters and sheltered areas like the Menai Straits, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced sailors.  Other water sports are extremely popular particularly in many of the main holiday destinations around North Wales and Anglesey.  The most popular probably being, Abersoch, Neffyn, Red Wharf Bay, Beaumaris, Treardurr Bay and Rhosneigr.  Most of these places are completely geared up for tourists offering fabulous beaches, restaurants, cafes, shops etc.

This area is not just about the coast line as Snowdonia is the largest national park in Wales, home to the iconic Mount Snowdon and numerous mountains, lakes, and forests, perfect for hiking, climbing, and enjoying scenic views. Mountain biking, zip-lining, white-water rafting, and various other outdoor pursuits are readily available.

Alongside delicious local produce and cookery demonstrations, there's a range of unusual events like speed truffle-making and pumpkin carving competitions.

Langollen is also home to the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod, a cultural festival that attracts visitors from around the world.  Another a big contributor to the North Wales Arts is LLandudno's Venue Cymru which is a fabulous venue hosting shows and live music throughout the year.
